Gymnastival was PRGA’s 1st Online Rhythmic Gymnastics Competition conducted on 5th and 6th June 2021.
The idea was to provide a platform for our students to compete and showcase their skills after 1.5 years of online training due to the pandemic. A chance for the theme get back to the sporting environment and boost their morale. The focus of the competition was on the “artistry” aspect of rhythmic gymnastics performance. This includes dance, body movements and creativity of the gymnast and routine. For the same reason the students were asked to include “wow” factors in their performance and were judges on the basis of the same. It would be great to note here that right from Under 8 to Above 16 age groups, all the acts were choreographed by the students themselves, adding to their confidence and encouraging creative expression.
This event saw participation of over 100 PRGA gymnasts across all age groups and levels. PRGA Faculty participated as Judges, Jury & Technical Panel. PRGA Senior Coach Sadichchha Kulkarni was the Competition Director. There were 6 Guest Judges from RG India community who were on the panel for different age groups.
